ATS Vaccine Initiative Advisory Panel
ATS is one of six specialty societies to be awarded a grant from the CMSS and CDC to increase COVID-19, influenza, and routine vaccination rates among high-risk adult patients nationally while fostering a culture of vaccination advocacy and promotion within ATS and among the pulmonary community.
ATS is partnering with and funding eight health care systems across the United States over the course of the award to test and implement strategies to improve vaccine uptake using a Quality Improvement approach.
The ATS Vaccine Initiative Advisory Panel was created to provide guidance on ATS Vaccine Initiative, a grant from the Council of Medical Specialty Societies (CMSS) and the CDC. It is composed of a diverse, passionate team of ATS members with expertise in a broad array of disciplines including: infectious disease, clinical practice, vaccinology/immunology, basic and clinical research, behavioral science, and nursing to provided knowledge and guidelines for the ATS Vaccine Initiative. The panel also includes patient/family representatives to provide the patient-centered perspective.
