Advocacy & Patients

Respiratory health must advance across the world.

Why it matters:

Advocacy is essential to improving health. Advocacy is needed to support investments in research and public health programs, to implement policy to end tobacco and nicotine addiction, to promote clean air and a healthy climate, to ensure patient access to high quality medical care, and to support the role of science in medicine and policy.

The ATS actively advocates for our members, and the patients they serve, whether they live and work in the U.S. or in one of the more than 133 countries that our members call home.

The bottom line:

Members can rely on the ATS and its staff to provide the material and structure needed for ATS members to be successful advocates for lung health.
