Applicants to 2024-2025 grants will be notified of award decisions in March 2025.
The ATS is pleased to offer the following grant opportunities in the 2026 grant cycle.
Unrestricted Grants
Up to five unrestricted grants will be awarded in 2026. Projects must be related to pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. All five grants will be awarded to the top-scoring projects regardless of specific research focus. Applicants must first submit a letter of intent. Learn more here.
Diversity Grant
This grant supports an early-career investigator from populations underrepresented in the US biomedical research enterprise. Investigators may be working in pulmonary, critical care, or sleep medicine. Applicants apply through the unrestricted grant mechanism and must first submit a letter of intent. Learn more here.
Partner Grants
The Research Program partners with organizations to offer these targeted research grants. Letters of intent are not required. Learn more here.
