Our section is interested in inhalation disasters and bioterrorism leading to pulmonary and multi-organ system and health care system consequences. These topics range from disaster planning to long-term world trade center health effects beginning in youth or adulthood, Iraq Afghanistan War Lung Injury (IAW-LI) from burning trash in military burn pits, California wildfires, “hotboxing” and the vaping epidemic, and pandemics, for example.
We welcome your input and look forward to meeting our interdisciplinary international and domestic colleagues with expertise in public health, basic science, clinical and translational research, emergency services, pulmonary critical care and sleep medicine, nursing, pediatrics, and advocacy.
