Pre-Clinical Models in COPD - Which is the Best Mouse?

A joint AII/RCMB panel will discuss pre-clinical models in COPD, with a particular focus on mouse models, to determine, “Which is the best mouse?” The webinar will be co-chaired by Amy Attaway, MD (Cleveland Clinic), and Jeffrey Curtis, MD, ATSF (University of Michigan), and will feature expert speakers on murine models, including the elastase +/- LPS model (Uma Sajjan, PhD, Temple University), the smoking model (Francesca Polverino, MD, PhD, ATSF, Baylor College of Medicine), and genetic models (Bradley Richmond, MD, PhD, Vanderbilt University). The presentations will be followed by a group discussion on the strengths and limitations of each model and how to advance the field of COPD research.
