This week, the ATS submitted comments at an EPA public hearing in support of proposed rules to issue GHG emissions standards for light and medium duty vehicles for model years 2027 and beyond. The ATS noted in its comments that the proposed standard would reduce both GHG emissions and traditional air pollutants and thus immediately improve air quality and help address climate change. The ATS also noted that near-road air pollution emissions are a particular concern for underserved communities, and that reductions in tailpipe emissions are an important step to addressing health disparities.
