As
part of ATS 2023, nearly 100 ATS members convened on Capitol Hill to
hold a rally to accelerate urgent policy action to address climate
change. ATS members gathered to reinforce the message that climate
change is a health issue that is already adversely impacting patient
health, likely to worsen without immediate action.
“The rally was an opportunity to energize and recommit to pushing our elected officials to act seriously and urgently on addressing climate change,” said Alison Lee, MD, chair of the ATS Environmental Health Policy Committee. “Every member of our professional society must take action to address climate change.”
