The MECOR Latin America - GOLD Training Grant is a fully funded opportunity designed to support healthcare professionals and researchers in Latin America. This three-year training program provides world-class education, mentorship, and research development to equip participants with the skills necessary to drive impactful change in respiratory health.

Who Can Apply?
The grant is open to healthcare professionals, researchers, and clinicians committed to advancing respiratory health in Latin America. To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a resident of a Latin American country. While applicants from all Latin American countries are welcome, priority will be given to candidates from underrepresented regions in MECOR LA courses in recent years (e.g., Bolivia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Central America, and Caribbean countries).
- Not have participated in MECOR Level 1 or above (basic MECOR course participation is allowed).
- Submit a research question addressing Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
- Obtain institutional support for the development of their research project.
- Commit to attending MECOR for three consecutive years, successfully completing Levels 1 to 3.
