Judith Owens, MD, MPH will be joined by an expert sleep panel for an in-depth discussion of the science, implementation, and lived experience of later school start times. Dr. Owens will review the evidence supporting later start times for adolescent health and well-being. Terra Ziporyn Snider, PhD will address challenges and practical considerations related to implementation, while Indira Gurubhavagatula, MD, MPH will share her perspective as both a sleep specialist and parent advocate. High school student, Julie Prosnitz will round out the discussion by sharing her firsthand experience with the transition to a later school start time. This discussion will be moderated by Refika H. Ersu, MD.
