The Joseph R. Rodante for Scientific Distinction Award honors the late Joseph Rodarte, MD, who was an international leader in the fields of respiratory physiology and pulmonary medicine and made invaluable contributions to our scientific and medical communities. This award honors Dr. Rodante by recognizing an established investigator who has made distinguished contributions in the fields of respiratory medicine or physiology.

The 2025 Joseph R. Rodante for Scientific Distinction Award winner is Chun Seow, PhD, ATSF, The Centre for Heart Lung Innovation, The University of British Columbia. He will present his research titled "The Role of Airway Smooth Muscle in Deep Inspiration Induced Bronchodilation and Bronchoprotection". Jeffrey Fredberg, PhD, will be giving introductory remarks of Dr. Rodante's legacy in respiratory medicine. The live webinar will be moderated by Christopher Pascoe, PhD, University of Manitoba, and Carolyn Wang, PhD, Centre for Heart Lung Innovation.
