The Ann Woolcock Memorial Award honors the life of the late Ann Woolcock, MBBS, FRACP, AO, of Sydney University, who was a global leader in asthma research, revealing the important role of genes and allergens in the disease. This award honors Professor Woolcock by recognizing the overall accomplishment and future promise by a junior investigator in all areas of research on obstructive airway disease.
The 2025 Ann Woolcock Memorial Award winner is Chantal Donovan, PhD, from the University of Technology Sydney. She will present her research titled "Preclinical tools for respiratory diseases: investigating lung structure and function in discovery pipelines". Christine Jenkins, AM, MD, FRACP, FThorSoc, FAAHMS, will be giving introductory remarks of Professor Ann Woolcock's legacy in in the field of asthma in areas of epidemiology, physiology and medicine.
