The Robert Crapo Memorial Innovative Research Methodologies Award honors the life achievements of Robert Crapo, M.D., an international leader in pulmonary function diagnostics research. This award honors Dr. Crapo by recognizing a mid-career researcher who is developing new techniques or approaches that show potential for markedly enhancing our understanding of the respiratory structure-function relationship.
The 2025 Robert Crapo Memorial Innovative Research Methodologies Award winner is Xingbin Ai, PhD, Massachusetts General Brigham. She will present her research titled "Modeling Respiratory Infection in Infants". James Crapo, MD, the brother of the late Robert Crapo, MD, will be giving introductory remarks of his brother’s legacy in respiratory medicine. The webinar will be moderated by David Kasahara, PhD, MSc, ATSF, Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals, and Ridhima Wadhwa, PhD, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
