This ATS Journal Club will review and discuss the article “Geographic Disparities by Rural-Urban Status and Drive Time to Care in Tobacco Treatment for COPD” by Arianne Baldomero, MD, MS, ATSF and Anne Melzer, MD, MS, ATSF, which examines how rural residence and longer travel times pulmonary specialty care are associated with lower provision of tobacco dependence treatment (pharmacotherapy and counseling) among individuals with COPD who smoke.
