As physicians who biopsy and treat patients with lung cancer, ablation of primary lung cancer and metastatic disease continue to be of interest to many in the field of interventional pulmonology and interventional radiology. In order to push the needle forward in how we deliver the timeliest care to our patients suffering from lung cancer, we look to ways that we can, perhaps, diagnose and treat lung cancer in a single procedure, under the same anesthesia setting. Bronchoscopically-delivered ablation is an active area of research interest, but ablation has been used for decades in interventional radiology. In this session, we will sit down with leaders in interventional thoracic endoscopy and interventional radiology to discuss the current state of lung cancer ablation in the world.
