Building on the 2024 Journal Club that honored the Randomized Controlled Trial of Respiratory Rehabilitation, the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Assembly continues its Celebration and Reflection on Landmark Studies Series.
This session marks the 30-year anniversary of the seminal article Skeletal Muscle Adaptation to Endurance Training in Patients with COPD, American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. Lead author François Maltais, MD, will share his reflections on the study’s legacy and influence, while expert panelists Richard Casaburi, MD, PhD, and Martijn Spruit, PhD, will discuss how the findings continue to shape research and practice in pulmonary rehabilitation today.
