We invite you to consider nominating a colleague to participate in the ATS 2025 Core Curriculum.
Who should you nominate?
Invited contributors must commit to participation in all program facets listed below. There is a considerable amount of work involved in the process with strict deadlines.
Candidates for participation should possess the following qualifications:
- Early career faculty; exceptionally qualified senior fellows graduating in 2025 or associate professors will be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Ability to work collaboratively (give and receive feedback, make edits when suggested, etc.)
- Excellent public speaking skills.
- Skill and experience in clinical teaching.
- Content expertise (topics listed below).
- Experience with writing board-style questions preferred.
- Able to consistently meet deadlines.
What will be asked of invited contributors?
The following outlines the expected deliverable materials and timeline:
- 3-5 learning objectives (due Nov 2024).
- 3 multiple choice questions with a clinical stem, rationale, and references (due January 2025).
- 25-minute presentation to be given at 2025 ATS International Conference (due March 2025).
In addition, some pillars may opt to submit a scholarly project (e.g., a clinical review, perspective on teaching the topic, or educational video). Pillar chairs will set the deadlines for submission.
How do I nominate a colleague?
Consider the topics below and then submit nominations via the speaker nomination form https://thoracic.secure-platform.com/a/solicitations/243/home on the ATS website. You may make as many nominations as you deem appropriate. Nominations will be accepted through Monday, September 30, 2024.
