Kristopher Genschmer, PhD, University of Alabama at Birmingham, will discuss pathogenic neutrophil extracellular vesicles in a murine model of emphysema. 

Shah Hussein, PhD, University of Alabama at Birmingham, will highlight the advantages of the ferret model for COPD and airway research. 

David Lafon, MD, University of Alabama at Birmingham, will present on Multiplexed Opsonophagocytosis Assays (MOPA) to evaluate pneumococcal antibody function and IgG variants as risk factors for COPD exacerbations. 

Maor Sauler, MD, University of Michigan, will present single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics to characterize the alveolar niche in COPD.

Anny Zhou, PhD, University of Virginia, will discuss the use of functional genomics to study COPD biology.
